Exploring Disney: it’s a small world

It’s a small world is a classic attraction in Magic Kingdom that has been around since Walt Disney World opened in 1971. It was originally built for the 1964 World’s Fair and was duplicated in Disneyland and then again at Walt Disney World.

I have learned many people have a love / hate relationship with this ride. Many can’t miss it and ride it every time they visit. Others are fine with never riding it again. Me, I am in the middle when it comes to this adorable ride, and I can’t help but get a smile every time I hear the song that plays throughout the ride.

I love this relaxing joyful ride through each part of the world with the brightly colored costumes and scenery! Each area takes you to a different continent and if you are wearing your Magic Band look for your name as your boat enters the unloading area.

It’s a small world is slow moving and so is good for all ages especially little ones who love the song and the bright colors and dolls.

Take a ride on it’s a small world and I’ll bet you will be humming to yourself for the rest of your vacation! But until your next visit, here’s a little reminder for you……..Now everyone sing along:

It’s a world of laughter, a world of tears
It’s a world of hopes and a world of fears
There’s so much that we share that it’s time we’re aware
It’s a small world after all

It’s a small world after all
It’s a small world after all
It’s a small world after all
It’s a small, small world

There is just one moon and one golden sun
And a smile means friendship to everyone
Though the mountains divide
And the oceans are wide
It’s a small world after all

It’s a small world after all
It’s a small world after all
It’s a small world after all
It’s a small, small world

It’s a world of laughter, a world of tears
It’s a world of hopes and a world of fears
There’s so much that we share that it’s time we’re aware
It’s a small world, a small world after all

You are welcome. 🙂
