Exploring Disney: Taking a Gran Fiesta Tour with 3 Caballeros

If you love Donald Duck and The 3 Caballeros (and who doesn’t?), the Gran Fiesta Tour in EPCOT’s Mexico pavilion is a “must do” for you.  My granddaughter was so in love with this easy, slow moving ride, we had to ride it 3 times in a row! Poor Donald, it seems that he has disappeared south of the border and it is up to Panchito and Jose to find him.

Where did Donald go?

Your journey to find him actually begins at the giant Mayan pyramid, which is the impressive background to the San Angel Inn Restaurant. From there you’ll sail down the Rio Grande to see if you can spot Donald anywhere. While you do, you’ll have the chance to enjoy the sights and sounds of Mexico as you cruise by colorful cities and then find yourself in the middle of a fiesta. Could Donald be here?

As you can only imagine, our favorite Duck leaves all kinds of mayhem in his wake as Jose and Panchito take their own fun journey looking for their friend – and get into some hilarious situations along the way!

The Gran Fiesta Tour with 3 Caballeros is for all ages and is slow moving. There are areas darker than others, but nothing scary for even the youngest rider.

This joyful ride was inspired by the 1944 animated Disney film, The Three Caballeros, and is a fun “throwback” to a fun Disney classic. So sit back and enjoy the wonderful music from the movie and a fun adventure as you search for Donald Duck!

Debbie and her husband live in Chattanooga, TN. They both are huge Disney fans and try to visit the most Magical Place on Earth at least once a year, if possible. They are enjoying taking each of their now 10 grandchildren and hope to also take their great granddaughter in the near future. One of their favorite trips has been visiting Disney with adults only, including one trip when their son proposed to his girlfriend. Each trip begins with the planning, which can take up to a year, beginning with how to get the grandkids excited about their upcoming trip. They have surprised some of them the day before they left, while the latest one had “presents” every 10 days starting at 90 days all leading up to an exciting trip with her parents along also. Their philosophy on Disney Trips? “Each trip is completely different, like visiting Walt Disney World for the first time.” They both enjoy all that Disney has to offer, but enjoy Animal Kingdom and EPCOT the most. It is their goal that everyone who visits Walt Disney World has a magical trip with lots of memories to last a life time.
