Exploring Disney: Taking a Cruise Through the Jungle

As one of the most iconic Disney attractions, you may think you know what to expect on Jungle Cruise – but on our recent visit during the Christmas holidays we  were in for a surprise! Jungle Cruise was all decked out for the holidays and I found that to be as entertaining as the ride itself! They had skeleton heads with Santa hats, presents wrapped in random paper found on the island and decorations like you have never seen before.

The ride on Jungle Cruise was still so much fun, and no matter what time of year you go, you’ll enjoy the cruise! Once you have made it through the queue (and you don’t want to miss any of the details there!)  you will board a boat straight out of African Queen for a 10,000 mile trip across 3 continents. And all in a 10-minute trip so hang on! Your skipper will be your entertainment along the way and he or she is sure to keep the laughs – or moans -coming the whole trip. Listen carefully – never know what you might hear! But don’t worry, it is all G-rated fun! Kids of all ages will enjoy the dry-humor of your skipper.

As you make your way across Asia, Africa and South America you will see dangerous beasts, lush landscapes and waterfalls. Don’t worry your trustworthy steamer is covered and usually your competent skipper can get you out of the dangerous waters surrounding the waterfalls. Well usually!

Along the way you will see gorillas, elephants enjoying a bath, baboons, cobra snakes, lions – and be sure to watch out for any Headhunters on your exotic adventure.

Jungle Cruise is slow moving and perfect for all ages. This 10-minute cruise will be one you won’t soon forget!

Debbie and her husband live in Chattanooga, TN. They both are huge Disney fans and try to visit the most Magical Place on Earth at least once a year, if possible. They are enjoying taking each of their now 10 grandchildren and hope to also take their great granddaughter in the near future. One of their favorite trips has been visiting Disney with adults only, including one trip when their son proposed to his girlfriend. Each trip begins with the planning, which can take up to a year, beginning with how to get the grandkids excited about their upcoming trip. They have surprised some of them the day before they left, while the latest one had “presents” every 10 days starting at 90 days all leading up to an exciting trip with her parents along also. Their philosophy on Disney Trips? “Each trip is completely different, like visiting Walt Disney World for the first time.” They both enjoy all that Disney has to offer, but enjoy Animal Kingdom and EPCOT the most. It is their goal that everyone who visits Walt Disney World has a magical trip with lots of memories to last a life time.
