Terrific Tuesdays: Kilimanjaro Safari
It so frustrates me when I hear someone call Disney’s Animal Kingdom a zoo! When you visit Animal Kingdom and encounter the animals on the Kilimanjaro Safari, you realize that this is anything but a zoo! As you ride in a open-air jeep through the savanna, you will see animals on both sides of the jeep and we have had to stop to just let an antelope or another wild animal cross in front of you. No one really likes waiting in lines, but when it comes to visiting the Disney parks, it’s a given that you will wait in lines, likely many of them during your vacation. Always looking to add to the Guest experience, Disney has over the past few years, found a way to make that waiting fun. “Play while you wait”…..seriously, what a great concept! Take the wait for Dumbo now: there is an entire room where kids can play while waiting their turn to ride! The only problem now is getting them to leave the play are so that they can ride!
