Planning a Disney Vacation: Dessert for Everyone!

11052028_10155720054565508_6662669420770167760_nWhen I was young, we went out to dinner often – but there were some pretty strict rules: “No appetizers. Drink water only. No dessert.” And unfortunately, that philosophy carried into my adult thinking. So when I’m on vacation, “letting go” and allowing us to truly enjoy the food – instead of silently racking up the cost – is always a problem for me.

We decided to plan around my birthday, my son’s 4th birthday, Mother’s Day, and as luck would have it, the Flower & Garden Festival was taking place during this time as well. Having experienced the Food & Wine Festival on previous occasions, I was excited for another trip around the world showcase full of new experiences. Read more

This fun area has a number of exhibits related to the current and previous Star Wars movies, games and the chance to meet with some favorite characters from the movie: Chewbacca and Darth Vader were there when I visited in December, and recently Kylo Ren is now making appearances. Light sabers are optional.
