It so frustrates me when I hear someone call Disney’s Animal Kingdom a zoo! When you visit Animal Kingdom and encounter the animals on the Kilimanjaro Safari, you realize that this is anything but a zoo! Always looking to add to the Guest experience, Disney has over the past few years, found a way to make that waiting fun. “Play while you wait”…..seriously, what a great concept! Take the wait for Dumbo now: there is an entire room where kids can play while waiting their turn to ride! The only problem now is getting them to leave the play are so that they can ride!

Now that the giant Sorcerer’s Hat has been removed as the focal point of Hollywood Studios, and the older more traditional “Earful Tower” is leaving as well, there has been a lot of discussion about what the new “icon” for Hollywood Studios will be! After all, Magic Kingdom has a Castle, Epcot has Spaceship Earth and Animal Kingdom has the Tree of Life….so will the Great Movie Ride become the new symbol of Hollywood Studios? Or is something else, still unknown, on the way? Guess we will have to wait and see!
