I love spending the day at the parks. It gets hot and busy but that’s the perfect time to get a cool snack, or a cold drink and find a little shade to people watch from. When we plan our Disney vacations, advanced dining reservations are a must, especially when food allergies are involved. We usually make reservations for the bigger meals, either breakfast or dinner. That doesn’t mean that we don’t get hungry during the day though! It’s Spring at Disney and so as happens every year, Epcot is hosting the annual Flower and Garden Festival for all of the ticket holding guests. There is no extra fee for the Flower and Garden Festival, just the cost of a regular admission park ticket. However there is more to enjoy than just the beautiful topiaries and flowers. Like the Food and Wine Festival in the fall, the Flower and Garden Festival boasts food booths around the world showcase. This could be a nightmare for someone with a food allergy – having to see the glorious mouth watering food and unable to eat it. When you’re planning a Disney vacation, the most frequent tip given is to make your reservations at the earliest opportunity, which in most cases is 180 days in advance. This is the most shared tip whether you have food allergies or not. If you have some restaurants in mind that you want to go to, then you need to make your advanced dining reservations. What happens though when you think you’ve made all the dining reservations you want but you’re walking around the park and smell some delicious aroma wafting out the doors of one of the restaurants and you don’t have any reservations?
