Exploring Disney: Star Tours – The Adventure Continues

Before Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge debuted at Disney’s Hollywood Studios last year, guests had the chance to explore  the universe on Star Tours: The Adventure Continues. Happily this attraction is still taking Star Wars fans (and everyone else) on a voyage to all kinds of worlds from the Star Wars stories. If you are you ready to blast off to a galaxy far-far away, you’ll love this 3D flight simulator ride!

As you board your Starspeeder 1000, you may think you are strapping in for a leisurely ride through space, but surprise! Before you know it, you suddenly launch too soon and protocol droid C-3PO takes the controls to help you out of this mess.

Beware though, unbeknownst to you, a Rebel spy has boarded your starship and the First Order discovers this intrusion! Their first order of business is to apprehend the spy! But can they!? To avoid capture, you’ll embark on a thrilling, unpredictable flight that rockets you to the farthest reaches of the galaxy.

This unique ride will take you on many different adventures – including being in a battle, trying to out-run the bounty hunter Boba Fett, encountering the Death Star among others – and along the way you’ll come face to face with many familiar faces you have seen in the Star Wars mythology. Each ride will be different and exciting and you never know just who you’ll meet.

Riders must be free of back-pain, not sensitive to motion and be over 40” tall. There are simulated drops and very vivid feeling of being on a starspeeder, so if you are sensitive to motion, be advised. (While some motion does bother me, I have found looking down and bracing myself does help, so I can ride this over and over again.)

With many in-cockpit special effects and some awesome music that will totally immerse you in the much loved Star Wars mythology, Star Tours is a fun and exciting ride that provides a new and thrilling experience each time you ride.

As always, May the Force be with you!

Debbie and her husband live in Chattanooga, TN. They both are huge Disney fans and try to visit the most Magical Place on Earth at least once a year, if possible. They are enjoying taking each of their now 10 grandchildren and hope to also take their great granddaughter in the near future. One of their favorite trips has been visiting Disney with adults only, including one trip when their son proposed to his girlfriend. Each trip begins with the planning, which can take up to a year, beginning with how to get the grandkids excited about their upcoming trip. They have surprised some of them the day before they left, while the latest one had “presents” every 10 days starting at 90 days all leading up to an exciting trip with her parents along also. Their philosophy on Disney Trips? “Each trip is completely different, like visiting Walt Disney World for the first time.” They both enjoy all that Disney has to offer, but enjoy Animal Kingdom and EPCOT the most. It is their goal that everyone who visits Walt Disney World has a magical trip with lots of memories to last a life time.
