Thursday Thoughts: Planning for Pandora – The World of Avatar

Last month, I shared a glimpse into Disney’s new “land” at Animal Kingdom: Pandora – The World of Avatar. This new area opened to the public this past weekend, with lines just to get into the area (not even for a ride) that stretched for hours. The lines for the new rides – Flight of Passage and Na’vi River Journey – each were well over 3 hours at times on Saturday. And while the “newness” of this area will wear off a bit in the coming weeks (combined with more typical park attendance, as opposed to a busy holiday weekend), suffice it to say that planning your time at Animal Kingdom is going to change dramatically with this new area to explore.

Wordless Wednesday: Festival of the Lion King

There is a lot to see and do at each of the parks at Walt Disney World, and with all of the awesome rides and attractions, it can be hard to get to see some of the amazing shows as well. One show that you should not miss however, is the Festival of the Lion King! This show, held in Disney’s Animal Kingdom, is a boisterous, lively and super fun party with Simba, Timon, Pumba and some of their best friends. You’ll be singing, clapping and maybe even dancing in part of the show. It’s a “must see” for sure! Read more

Terrific Tuesdays: Starting Your Day Off at Magic Kingdom

Getting to the parks early on your Disney vacation has it’s advantages. And by early, I mean early – before the parks actually open -early. For one, you’ll find some of the lowest crowds and shortest lines of the day, meaning you generally can do a number of rides and attractions without needing a FastPass, so you can save those for later in the day when the lines grow.  Read more

Wordless Wednesday: Finding Dory…or Finding Nemo?

Outside of the Seas With Nemo and Friends, both Dory and Nemo are swimming along, friends to the end. Are either of them lost though? With these two, you just never know! Read more
