Disney Learning at Home

With everything going on in the world these days, it’s an understatement to say that we’ve all had to make some adjustments and likely experienced our fair share of disappointments. From cancelled vacations to postponed celebrations and everything in between, we’re all adapting to this pandemic in one way or another. Personally, I’ve postponed what was supposed to be my first kid-free (since having kids) trip to Walt Disney World Resort to celebrate a milestone birthday. In the meantime, I’ve also transitioned from a full-time professional who worked outside of the home to temporarily being a full-time stay-at-home mom, teacher, lunch lady, and more.

During this strange season of life, we are learning how to become remote learners and teachers. Thank goodness for the internet, which has an endless supply of ideas to entertain, engage, and educate young students. Since we can’t physically be at Walt Disney World right now, we can bring some of the magic to life here at home and I’m sharing some of our favorite finds so far. Read more

Disney Rumor Has It – Except That It Doesn’t…….

Rumor has it! Did you hear the news that Walt Disney World…….<fill in the blank>…..???

As we all wait and dream about our next Disney vacation, there are lots of fun things to do at home to keep that Disney spirit alive! With this in mind, I am re-running an article from several years ago, with a super fun activity to do with your children that is PERFECT for some great family Disney time (and possibly some learning that you can sneak in there as well?) Enjoy and stay well!

As we all know (and regret), you cannot realistically spend every day at Walt Disney World. Whether we are enjoying time at the Walt Disney World Resort, wallowing in post-vacation blues, in the planning stages of our next trip, or just looking forward to the next Disney movie, Disney is never too far from our minds.  Read more

Several years ago, I begged my hubby to see Mickey’s PhilarMagic on our Disney vacation. He hesitated, as he wasn’t keen on watching a show, he is generally more of a ride person. Finally though, near the end of our Magic Kingdom adventures, he finally gave in.  And as a HUGE Donald Duck fan, boy was he surprised – I didn’t give anything away about Donald beforehand! Read more
