Be Our Guest: Agent P’s World Showcase Adventure

Editor:  I am so happy to welcome again,  Lisa Battista, author of Beyond the Attractions: A Guide to Walt Disney World with Preschoolers. An expert in planning Disney vacations with little ones…and a budget…in mind,  Lisa just returned from a Disney World research trip for the next edition of her book….and had the chance to try out something new at World Showcase! Thank you Lisa for sharing today! 🙂

The Disney Phineas and Ferb: Agent P’s World Showcase Adventure in Epcot’s World Showcase was testing this past weekend. I narrowly missed my opportunity to play on Sunday but luck was on my side the following day. On Monday I made a beeline for the recruiting station soon after World Showcase opened and success. I was in! Read more

An Out of the World Summer: Disneyland Paris

Editor’s note: I’m thrilled to introduce a new series today, on another wonderful piece of Disney that many/most of us may have never been privileged to visit: Disneyland Paris. Thanks to Tina (lucky girl!!), we will have the benefit of hearing all about what it is like to visit a Disney park in another country, and learn as well, of course, how to do it as affordably as possible. So if you have plans to visit Disneyland Paris….or simply are dreaming about it, follow along with Tina this summer and learn along with the rest of us! 🙂

I love Paris!  I have been twice, once in 2003 and then again in 2008.  I also, of course, am in love with all things Disney!  So what could be BETTER than Disney IN Paris?  I’m not sure there is anything better!  There are people out there that say, “Why waste a day of Paris in Disneyland,” but those people aren’t crazy about Disney, like us, so we just ignore them 😉

This summer, my husband and I are taking an-almost-2-week trip to Europe.  Being the Disney fan I am, I have to try out “Euro Disney” this time around!  I am happy to share how we are doing this, and all the logistics that go along with planning a (and hopefully saving some $)  trip to Disneyland Paris . Terrific Tuesdays: Epcot’s Germany Pavilion

Yet another country in Epcot’s World Showcase is Germany.  As you enter the quaint little German village, you are greeted with cobblestone streets, a gorgeous fountain and beautiful architecture, including a chiming clock tower.   Read more

Disney Cruise Line Staterooms

Disney Cruise Line is considered a luxury cruise line in the industry. As with everything Disney, they do it up and they do it right. While it is true that a Disney Cruise is a little bit more than the cost of other cruise lines out there, please keep in mind that having all of the comforts of home while you cruise is essential in creating a magical vacation. Disney did not skimp on the wow factor in their rooms….as always, they thought of everything. So today we start off our cruise segment with a walk-through of a Disney Cruise Line stateroom.  Read more

Be Our Guest: Yes, Virginia, There is a Way to Save on Disney Theme Park Tickets

Ed.: I am thrilled to welcome a very special guest today, Lisa Battista, author of Beyond the Attractions: A Guide to Walt Disney World with Preschoolers. An expert in planning Disney vacations with little ones…and a budget…in mind, Lisa is here to offer some thoughts on saving money on tickets. Thanks so much Lisa for visiting! 🙂

Previously, my family’s Disney ticket strategy was to schedule at least two vacations a year using Annual Passes. Some years this meant a fall and spring trip while other years found us arriving 358 days after our previous vacation to complete our travel within one calendar year. Our really fortunate years combined both vacation scenarios. Throw in a long research weekend for Beyond the Attractions: A Guide to Walt Disney world with Preschoolers and my husband and I make good use of our annual passes. Read more
