Those of us who live “up north” will appreciate this view from Epcot’s World Showcase, taken a few years ago on New Year’s Day. Yes, January. As we get ready for a big snowstorm here in the mid-Atlantic this coming weekend, the sight of roses blooming outdoors in January seems like it’s from another world. Although, I guess it kind of is another World! 🙂

Disney completed a redesign of the Cinderella Castle “hub” area last year and it is a lovely addition to this part of Magic Kingdom. A very park-like setting with grass, walkways and benches scattered throughout, this area provides a great place to relax and unwind on a busy day, as well as a great location to view Wishes and the Celebrate the Magic castle projection show.

Terrific Tuesday: Rainforest Cafe

Not really feeling like getting wet, we ducked into Rainforest Cafe as we exited The Oasis. There is a convenient entrance into the restaurant to the right before you leave Animal Kingdom. Please note though – this is just another exit from the park, so you will need to re-enter the park just like the front entrance. Read more
