One of the best things about Disney souvenirs is that I can have things around the house to remind me of my visits to Disney World. One of my favorites was absolutely free and hand created: a drawing of Minnie from the Animation Academy in Disney’s Hollywood Studios!!
During each 15-minute animation class, you get to watch an actual Disney character artist draw a familiar face—and the best part it, she gives you instructions so you can draw along! Throughout the lesson, most of the animators will toss out trivia facts or challenge the audience with Disney brain busters, and we always learn a lot.
The best part is, at the end, your drawing is yours to keep. And, even better, occasionally the animator will give her drawing away to a lucky audience member, too! While my drawings are not great, some come out great, and I’ve hung a couple of them in my home office so I can be reminded of Disney all the time.
