Dining at Disney World: Mickey’s Ice Cream Sandwich

What is your very favorite Disney food? I love getting everyone’s opinion on what is a must-eat for each of their Disney trips. My daughter’s was the turkey leg . But it seems my niece is a huge fan of the Mickey’s Ice Cream Sandwich. She loved them so much; she had several pictures of them.

These absolutely wonderful ice cream bars are available at Ice Cream / Treat Carts throughout all the parks. For roughly $3.50 (prices are subject to change) they are the perfect mid-day snack. There are several other ice creams available such as HaganDaz vanilla and almonds ice cream bar, Mickey’s Ice Cream Bar, but the ultimate favorite all around between adults and children seems to be the Mickey’s Ice Cream Sandwich.  I don’t have scientific data to prove this other than walking around and seeing more people with a Mickey’s Ice Cream Sandwich than other snacks.

For those who don’t know, and I can’t imagine who, but these delicious vanilla ice cream sandwich with chocolate cookies come in the shape of Mickey’s head with that infectious smile!

I like to ask the Cast Member to dig to the bottom for most frozen ones, especially during the warm summer months. It is so sad having Mickey melt all down your arm before you can devour all of the vanilla ice cream. The easiest way to eat a Mickey Ice Cream is to start with his ears, working your way from the top of his head down to the last delicious bite.  The first time I had one, it was a little weird eating something that looks so much like Mickey, but after that first bite, I recovered and have since enjoyed several.

Be sure and pick up a Mickey’s Ice Cream Sandwich the next time you visit your magical place in Walt Disney World.
