Top Walt Disney World Attractions for the Littlest Fans

“What are the best things to do at Walt Disney World?”

This is a common question that comes up and the answer (as with so much with a Disney vacation) is “it depends”. So with that in mind, over the next couple of months, we are going to look at the 4 “best” rides or attractions – one at each park – for different age groups. Today, let’s look at some great attractions for our younger guests, our littlest friends ages 5 and under.

Magic Kingdom: There is SO much here for little ones, but a favorite has to be it’s a small world. This adorable slow moving boat ride is so full of colors, dolls and animals, it is sure to grab the attention of even the smallest guests. Each room is unique and themed to different nations or parts of the world, giving you a world tour. And as you leave, if you have your Magic Bands on, don’t be surprised to get a personal good bye!

Hollywood StudiosDisney Junior Dance Party is a silly fun filled party that is sure to get the preschoolers up and moving to songs they have been hearing on Disney Junior. Join Doc McStuffins, Vampirina, Timon and other Disney Jr. friends along with special guest Mickey Mouse. This is a fun party for kids of all ages, but especially the youngest ones.

Animal Kingdom: Even some of the smallest guest will remember Marlin and Dory as they search for Nemo, and so Finding Nemo – The Musical is a must-see for toddlers and pre-schoolers. This Musical is so bright and active that even one year olds are mesmerized! And wait until they see Crush – larger than life he takes up most of the stage. For even more fun – sit in the front section better known as the bubble area!

EPCOT: Take a ride on a clam-shell and join Nemo and his friends on an underwater adventure as you visit The Seas with Nemo and Friends. There are 2 stories of windows allowing everyone a view of dolphins, sharks, turtles, and all kinds of bright and colorful fish. At certain times you may even see a diver interacting with the dolphins. And if you look real close you may find a not-so-hidden Mickey. There is an area for a photo-op with your child in the mouth of a shark! (Bonus: Stop by to visit Turtle Talk With Crush for a chance to chat with everyone’s favorite sea turtle.)

There’s a lot to love at Walt Disney World for kids (and grown ups) of all ages! Next week we will look at favorites for older kids!

Debbie and her husband live in Chattanooga, TN. They both are huge Disney fans and try to visit the most Magical Place on Earth at least once a year, if possible. They are enjoying taking each of their now 10 grandchildren and hope to also take their great granddaughter in the near future. One of their favorite trips has been visiting Disney with adults only, including one trip when their son proposed to his girlfriend. Each trip begins with the planning, which can take up to a year, beginning with how to get the grandkids excited about their upcoming trip. They have surprised some of them the day before they left, while the latest one had “presents” every 10 days starting at 90 days all leading up to an exciting trip with her parents along also. Their philosophy on Disney Trips? “Each trip is completely different, like visiting Walt Disney World for the first time.” They both enjoy all that Disney has to offer, but enjoy Animal Kingdom and EPCOT the most. It is their goal that everyone who visits Walt Disney World has a magical trip with lots of memories to last a life time.
