Wordless Wednesday: It’s Fall in the World

One thing you always know at Walt Disney World is what season it is. It’s one of the many things I enjoy when visiting the Disney parks: the energy and creativity that Disney puts into the decorations for each holiday or time of year. At the Magic Kingdom, the minute you step off the monorail, and look up at the Train Station, there is no guessing: Fall has arrived at Disney World. 🙂

Tucked behind Yakitori House in Japan at Epcot’s World Showcase is a hidden area of peace and quiet…an unexpected and welcome place to relax and unwind during a busy day at the parks. But shhhhhh, don’t tell too many people, I don’t want to give away our little secret, ok?

Thrifty Thursday: Getting You…and Your Luggage Home Again (That’s Why They Call It “Magical” Express)

Last week, I discussed using Disney’s Magical Express to get you…and your luggage from the Orlando airport to your Disney resort hotel. In my opinion, this is a great perk that Disney offers, and can be a real savings: no need to arrange for car rental, or for a limo or taxi to get you from the airport to your hotel.

But, you may ask, what about on the way home? Can I take Disney’s Magical Express (DME) back to Orlando airport? What about my bags? Read more

Learning to “Let Go” With Disney’s Magical Express

Once upon a time we drove to Walt Disney World. There are of course, a number of pros and cons to doing this, but one of the pros, in my opinion, was having a car while we were visiting the parks. It allowed us the freedom to come and go when and how we wanted, no waiting for a bus, no standing, just get in your car and go. For the planner/control freak that I tend to be, it was perfect. 🙂

Then we started flying….but still unwilling to give up my car freedom, we also rented a car for our time in Florida. You know, to have “just in case”. Just in case of what, I am not certain, but we had the car anyway. Just In Case.

However the cost of airfare PLUS the cost of renting a car starts to add up….and if there is anything I want to do more than be in control, it’s save money. So we ditched the car rental about a dozen Disney vacations ago.

That’s when I fell in love with Disney’s Magical Express….and learned how to let go and leave the driving to Disney. And I gotta tell ya, it really works! 🙂

If you are staying in a Walt Disney World resort, and have never used Magical Express before, let me share with you just how easy and convenient it is.

Wordless Wednesday: Still the Living Seas…..

Yes I know it’s  actually The Seas with Nemo and Friends now. And yes, I love Finding Nemo, and I love meeting Crush inside and hearing what he has to say. I even like the “clamobile” that you have to ride to get into this attraction…it’s fun and sweet as everyone tries to “find Nemo” as you ride along. Read more
