Parents often debate whether to bring their own stroller, rent one from an outside stroller rental service, or rent them in the parks. For several reasons, I recommend bringing your own. They will come in handy from the beginning of your trip until the very end. Read more

Disney Vacation Planning: Disney’s Hollywood Studios
Disney’s Hollywood Studios is one of those surprise parks. While it doesn’t seem like a lot, the more you explore, the more you find and pretty soon you find yourself immersed in Hollywood’s golden era of the movies. Things are constantly changing at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The most recent is the upcoming removal of Mickey’s Sorcerer’s Hat. I had grown to love that, but soon the Great Movie Ride Theater will be more noticeable as you enter the park. Read more
Cast Member’s Corner: I Just Can’t Wait to Go Back To Disney!
It’s no question, when you’re not at Disney you miss it. Even when you just leave the property gates! So it’s no wonder many people do everything they can to keep Disney in their lives even when they can’t be there. I am no different. Some may have thought that since I worked there I would be tired of it (I know, blasphemy!). That just isn’t the case. When I worked at Disney I was still in the parks on my days off. When I retire from teaching I plan on going back down to Orlando and working at Disney again. So is it any wonder that I would incorporate as much Disney in my daily life as possible? Read more
Disney World with Little Ones: How Young Is Too Young To Roam?
I recently came across an interesting image (but not the exact one above) on Facebook of an admission ticket to Disney World from the 1980s (when WDW consisted only of EPCOT and Magic Kingdom). The back said “Children under 7 years must be accompanied by an adult.” Let me get this straight…in 1987, before cell phones were a thing, you could drop your little one off, say “see ya!” and allow them to visit and use transportation between the two parks. Whoa, how times have changed! Read more
Terrific Tuesdays: Disney Quest
You travel all the way to Walt Disney World and on a non park day and your family wants to spend the day in the resort arcade. If constantly feeding quarters into those machines doesn’t sound like fun, Disney has a solution that can be found at Downtown Disney. It is DisneyQuest Indoor Interactive theme park. In short, it is a five floor arcade with ride simulators and lots of cyber fun! My family enjoys spending time at DisneyQuest during our vacations. Read more
