Holiday Merriment is Around the Corner at Walt Disney World

There is a lot of magic planned for the Holiday Season at Walt Disney World this year. From festive entertainment and whimsical décor, to seasonal food and drinks – and so much more – there’s so much to look forward to during this very special season at the Disney theme parks and resort hotels.

Here are some of the magical experiences you can expect this season at Walt Disney World Resort: 

Magic Kingdom Park – Holidays are sure to be enchanting at Magic Kingdom, where quintessential decorations will return to Main Street, U.S.A.  – and when the sun sets, special holiday projections will appear on Cinderella Castle in a brand new “Frozen”-inspired entertainment experience that will illuminate the castle in a whole new way.

And on 25 select nights, from Nov. 9 to Dec. 22, this separately ticketed event will welcome guests to celebrate the most wonderful time of the year at Magic Kingdom. Holiday magic is unwrapped with the return of festive favorites like the Christmas extravaganza stage shows, the sparkling spectacular “Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks” and the merry must-see “Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade.” Tickets for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party are limited, and advance purchase is recommended.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios – Get ready to dress in your holiday glam best or festive flair, dance the night away to merry mashups, indulge in divine treats and bubbling spirits, and snap selfies with iconic characters during Disney Jollywood Nights, a brand new festive event at Hollywood Studios.

During this new after-hours party, Guests will experience a variety of Hollywood-inspired Holiday entertainment areas and fun including a DJ spinning a mix of holiday tunes, a lively Latin Street Fair, and even Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy will be very special guests at Theater of the Stars along with some of their Disney friends. In addition, there will be two limited-capacity entertainment experiences – a jazz lounge at The Hollywood Brown Derby and an other-worldly soiree at The Hollywood Tower Hotel Courtyard – as well as the festive favorite, “Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM!” nighttime spectacular. And of course, you’ll have after-hours access to your favorite rides, all kinds of sweet treats and holiday beverages, and the chance to pose for Christmas photos with Mickey, Minnie, and friends. Disney Jollywood Nights is a limited-capacity holiday event that requires a special admission ticket.

Holiday edition of Tree of Life Awakenings at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park

Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park – It will be a wild holiday time at Disney’s Animal Kingdom with the return of seasonal décor and festive Disney character flotillas sailing down Discovery River to the sounds of joyful songs of the season. In addition, amidst the glowing holiday décor, a Merry Menagerie of winter animals returns to Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park in the form of artisan-sculpted puppets. Of course, during the holiday season there’s even more magic inspired by nature as the holiday edition of Tree of Life Awakenings also takes place most nights.

EPCOT – Where can you enjoy traditions from around the world, with inspiring music, tasty treats and family-friendly experiences? That would be EPCOT of course! The EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays will return this year, from Nov. 24 – Dec. 30, with the inspiring Candlelight Processional, Holiday Kitchens around the park, spirited storytellers, joyful musical acts and performers and more!
