Monster’s Inc. Laugh Floor Comedy Club is a great show in Magic Kingdom’s Tomorrowland, and is one that I consider to be a sleeper. By no means do I mean it is boring – it is quite the opposite! This show will keep you laughing and entertained from the minute you walk through the doors until the last joke and applause. The theater is quite large, and since the shows do run consecutively there is seldom much of a wait, other than for the previous show to let out. I noticed some people pass this up on their way in and out of Tomorrowland, which is unfortunate because they don’t realize what they are missing!
My grandson fought us the whole time about going to The Monster Laugh Floor – after all he was there to ride rides! Being 13 he did not fully grasp the idea that the Disney parks are more than “just rides”. Hubby and I are great fans of Monsters Inc, so we couldn’t see why it wouldn’t be great. And it was! After leaving the show, our grandson looked at us and said “I am so glad you made me go to that – it was GREAT!” That is every parent’s/grandparent’s “proud” moment!
When you first enter the staging area, you are given information on how to submit any jokes that you might have, to potentially be used in the show. Remember to keep them G Rated and clean. Once out of the staging area, you find yourself in a unique theater with benches and small tables and lamps in front of you, just like a comedy club. Each row is tiered so there isn’t a bad seat in the place…………………..or so you think! Your emcee for the night is none other than Mike Wazowski.
Keeping with the new technology of children’s laughter creating electricity, Mike and all the gang really get the audience going with all kinds of jokes. including some that have been submitted from the audience. Of course there’s also all kinds of fun antics as only the Monsters Inc. characters can do. Several audience members can be singled out and comments made, all in great Disney humor – including “That Guy” who is sitting somewhere in the crowd! Guess you will have to visit The Monsters Laugh Floor next time in Magic Kingdom to see who “That Guy” actually is!

It is their goal that everyone who visits Walt Disney World has a magical trip with lots of memories to last a life time.
