Explore Pop Culture Fun at Disney’s Pop Century Resort

When you’re looking for a super fun place to stay on your vacation to Walt Disney World, along with some super great pricing, Disney’s Pop Century Resort may be the perfect option for you! Experience the unforgettable fads of the 1950s through the 1990s all over again at this value resort that celebrates decades of pop culture. Located in the ESPN Wide World of Sports Area, just south of Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Epcot, Pop Century is also across the nearby Hourglass Lake from Disney’s Art of Animation Resort.

This resort has a lot of fun with its theming, including references to popular toys or technology from different decades, as well as larger-than-life figures of Disney characters from each decade, such as Baloo from the Jungle Book in the 1960s and Roger Rabbit from the 1980s. The resort is divided up into 5 wings, and each wing is themed to a different decade.

The resort’s main pool is the Hippy Dippy Pool, which is located in the 1960s section. There are also two smaller pools in the 1950s and the 1990s sections available for guests.

Most rooms at Disney’s Pop Century Resort can accommodate up to 4 guests with either a King bed, or a queen bed paired with a queen-sized table bed. Rooms also include a mini-fridge. Disney’s Pop Century Resort is one of Walt Disney World’s resort choices that offers Preferred Room locations. Preferred Rooms are a room category that are located closer to transportation and the resort’s food court. This option costs a little bit more per night,  but is a great option for guests that don’t want a longer walk back to their room after a day at the parks.

The Everything Pop Food Court is the main restaurant at Disney’s Pop Century Resort. The food court has 7 stations that offer everything from pizza and pasta to burgers to fried chicken to salads. They also offer some popular and fun desserts, such as the Tie-dyed Cheesecake. Like all Walt Disney World on-site hotels, this restaurant accepts the Disney Dining Plan.

Disney’s Pop Century Resort offers bus service to the four Walt Disney World theme parks and Disney Springs. The resort does not typically share buses with any other resort, and so has direct transportation to the theme parks. In addition, Pop Century shares a station with Art of Animation, on the new Disney Skyliner for direct transportation to Epcot or Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

Fun themes and great prices, what could be a better choice for your next Disney vacation than Disney’s Pop Century Resort?
