Thrifty Thursday: Affordable Snacks at Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Last but certainly not least, we need to visit Disney’s Hollywood Studios to experience their tasty but cheapy snacks!  Hollywood Studios is just plain FUN.  Lots of shows, a few of my absolute favorite rides (ahem…Rock n Roll and Toy Story!) and while we are running back and forth through the park we work up quite an appetite.  This park is quite small, and while they have a handful of the snack kiosks around the park like all other parks, there aren’t as many snack choices here.  Read more

Karen grew up in the Boston area and traveled to Disney World many times with her parents and sister. Always staying at the Fort Wilderness Cabins gave the trips a feeling of a home away from home. It also started the tradition of attending the Hoop Dee Doo Review on each trip! Somehow that show sparked her interest in the Disney College Program. Which she did in the fall of 2002, working as a hostess @ Captain Jacks in Downtown Disney. Now as an adult, Karen finds herself traveling to the parks on a yearly basis! Photography has always been a hobby of Karen’s, but over the past few years it has become her passion. It’s even taken her to her favorite place! The Make a Wish Foundation sent a family to Disney for a week and Karen was lucky enough to be their photographer of choice! She got to tag along and photograph their memories being made. She hopes to get that experience again someday! You can find more of Karen’s photography on her site www.KPportraits.com.

Terrific Tuesdays: The Haunted Mansion

The Haunted Mansion has always been one of my “Must-dos” when in Magic Kingdom. I am not a horror film or haunted house type of person, nor do I like to be scared so Haunted Mansion is definitely up my alley. I have heard more than one child or adult for that matter say, “but I don’t like scary things”. Unless they are really afraid of the dark, I highly recommend riding this. Even my granddaughter, who at age 4, kept saying, “I don’t like the dark”, still really enjoyed it, well, except for the darkness. Read more

Thrifty Thursday: Affordable Snacks at Disney’s Animal Kingdom
