Disney Vacation Planning: The Magic of Wishes Fireworks

11894460_10156176908990508_8056746843411564083_oIf you have been to the Disney parks before, then you’ve certainly seen the amazing fireworks at the different parks.  Each is unique and I love them all dearly but I have a soft spot in my heart for Wishes at the Magic Kingdom.  Having been a Cast Member, I was able to do crowd control during the fireworks.  I was lucky enough to be able to stand in front of the castle nightly to ensure guest safety and watch their faces during the fireworks.  I was able to tell guests exactly when that loveable pixie would fly through the air, where the next firework would go off, and all the words to the songs. 

A big question I got during my time working the fireworks was, “Where is the best place to watch the fireworks?”  Unlike most people, I don’t have a simple answer. Read more

Cast Member’s Corner: Learning is Fun at Walt Disney World

When I visited Walt Disney World as a kid, I didn’t realize how much I was actually learning, although I was in fact learning all along.  Disney has been masking it’s educational aspects behind fun, magic, and sprinklings of pixie dust for as long as the parks have been around.  Walt Disney World provides guests with learning experiences for all ages and all different areas of interest.  Most of these learning experiences don’t cost any more than a park ticket.  It doesn’t matter which park you choose either because all of the parks will provide you with opportunities to learn. Cast Member’s Corner: Not Just Another Carousel

When you enter Fantasyland through Cinderella Castle the first thing you lay eyes on is the Prince Charming Regal Carousel.  The white horses going around and around to the classical Disney music with the pictures that tell Cinderella’s story, how could you not love that?  But working there, I’ve heard time and time again, “Mommy I want to go on the carousel” and the response “You can go on a carousel anywhere, let’s go on something else.”  And so your little princes and princesses are missing out on a pretty unique carousel.
