A year ago we were planning a vacation to Disney’s Hilton Head Island, and while we aren’t going there this year, I thought I would share one of my favorite photographs from this lovely place. This is a beautiful, serene place to relax and unwind from it all…yet it still has that “Disney magic” too. The best of both worlds. Visit sometime if you can: you won’t want to leave!

There are smart phone applications for just about everything nowadays. There is even one to tell you how long the waits are at the various rides at Disney parks. For those of us who either can’t afford a smart phone, choose not to have one, or just don’t want to use the apps for that purpose, we can still rely on the old fashioned tip boards to fill us in.

My Favorite Disney Things: Debbie’s Favorites

As I sat down thinking about my favorite things at Walt Disney World my mind kept wandering to all the wonderful trips I have taken over the past 15 plus years. I was not lucky enough to visit Disney World until I was in my mid thirties, so I didn’t have the pleasure of enjoying it as a child – ok, at least not a child in years!  I’m just one of the many older kids you see walking around Disney with a goofy looking grin on my face, skipping around the parks and looking every bit the kid I am inside.

Princesses With A Plan: Packing for Our Disney Trip

Now that we have booked our flight, Susan and I have been making checklists of what we want to pack for our upcoming trip. We will pack most of our things in our checked baggage, but we want to make sure that we have any necessary items in our carry on bags as well.

Because of TSA rules, we have been picking up travel-sized toiletries whenever we see them on sale. *The rules say that liquids and gels must be in 3-oz containers and then these containers must be put inside one clear, quart-sized zip-top bag.  Our lightweight carry on suitcases will include our essential items, just in case our luggage gets lost. Also, we will be going to the park immediately, so we want to make sure that all the necessary items for park touring are included in our carry on bags as well. Read more
