Wordless Wednesday: Marching Into the Holidays
One of the best things about Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is the parade, and one of the highlights of the parade are the marching wooden soldiers! While this parade is only available to see at the Christmas Party through mid-December, if you will be visiting Walt Disney World after the last party is held, you can catch the parade…and the soldiers….each afternoon at Magic Kingdom, through December 30. If I say Countdown to Extinction, do you know which ride I am referring to? When Animal Kingdom and Dinosaur first opened in April 1998, Dinosaur was called Countdown to Extinction. It stayed that until May of 2000 when it was changed to Dinosaur to coincide with the movie release of the same name, although the movie isn’t as intense as the ride itself. Read more
Disney with Little Ones: Considering Caribbean Beach Resort

Being a budget-conscious young family, we’ve only ever considered staying in value resorts while visiting Walt Disney World. This time, I’m doing my research and planning to splurge on a moderate or deluxe resort during an off-season time, when (historically speaking) crowds are down and savings are at their peak. For our trip next September, it’s going to be H-O-T so I’m planning on fewer theme park days and more water park and resort pool days. The pools and water slides, transportation options, and the grounds/rooms themselves are all important factors in my choice.
