Happy Weekend and Happy Mother’s Day to all of our moms! May your day be sprinkled with lots of pixie dust and special Disney magic! 🙂 To get things started, here is some of my favorite Disney magic from the Disney Blog World this past week. Enjoy!

Let’s start things off with Brenda who had another of her great Wednesday with Walt articles on Chip and Co.: Oh, Sing Sweet Nightingale. Then Chris shared her thoughts about Character Dining: How Much Is Too Much? And finally Ken offered another perspective on Disney dining: Oldies But Goodies – Tables In Wonderland, Does It Fit Your Style

My agency Destinations in Florida has a great deal set up for one of the June Star Wars Weekends. These Discount Prices are the best available for this summer but there is a limited number of rooms available. If interested, please let me know at nancy@theaffordablemouse.com!

The countdown for Disney Bird’s trip is winding down. She wonders if it is Too Soon to Start Packing?

One of my favorite sites is Disney Dispatch where I am honored to be a guest contributor each month. We’d all like to say Happy Birthday, Bob! as he acknowledges all of his great weekly columnists are that make his site so much fun!

On another note, Kelly on her site Disney Guru,  deals with a familiar…and sad state of affairs that many of us can relate to: Dealing with Post Disney Blues

The Disney Parks Blog let us know some important news: Tickets for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party Available Now. And in honor of Mother’s Day, it is not too late to share some Disney love with your mom: Post a Tribute to Your Mom for Mother’s Day with Help from the Disney Florist

I truly enjoyed these articles from WDW Fan Zone. Tracie shared a great way to have fun with your kids while they are learning (but don’t tell them that part!): Bruce’s Shark Challenge. Meanwhile Kelly has a must-read for anyone going to Disney World this summer: Beat the Heat at Disney World. And last…but definitely not least…..Stuart tells us the Top 10 Signs You Are A Passionate Disney Fan. Did you qualify? I am pretty sure I do. 🙂

Enjoy the weekend and moms….enjoy your special day!

Wordless Wednesday: My Mother’s Day Dream

No I’m not going on a Disney cruise for a Mother’s Day gift…but a girl can “Dream” can’t she? 🙂 This photo is actually of the Disney Magic as she is docked at Disney’s private island, Castaway Cay. My heavens this is a lovely place and if you ever, EVER have the opportunity to go on a Disney cruise…even just a short one….do it, just for the chance to spend some time at this beautiful island. I didn’t want to leave….and you won’t either.

Disney Fun From Around the World: Week of April 25, 2011

Happy Weekend Disney Friends! Tomorrow is the first of May and probably my favorite month of the year…warm, not hot (at least not usually here in Maryland 🙂 ), less rain (I hope!!!), and everything is green and in bloom. It is a lovely time of year and you can’t help but smile. Speaking of smiling….here are some of my favorite Disney blog posts from the past week that all brought a smile to my face…and I hope they do to you as well! Enjoy!

As always, Chip and Co. keeps me very busy reading all the interesting and helpful Disney views and news items. I thought this one with some Disneyland Tips and Tricks – Some Helpful Planning Tips might be great for those of you who might be visiting Walt’s “first” park this summer. Belinda frequently writes for Disney Guru, where she recently shared her experiences having a Disney Vow Renewal. I was thrilled when she agreed to provide us with the “affordable” side to her wonderful day! Welcome Belinda…and thank you! 🙂

Always wished your wedding was with Disney but it just wasn’t affordable? Opt for a Vow Renewal, save a ton and have the next best thing!

When I was asked to do a guest post for The Affordable Mouse, I was honored to be a part of such a wonderful and helpful Disney site. I thought to myself, what I could share with all of you in terms of Disney being affordable? Then I knew! If you are like me, you dreamt of your wedding being with Disney but for most of us, reality set in, as the cost is extremely high. Disney weddings can cost well into the $30,000 mark, depending on how lavish you go. Why not opt for the next best thing? A Disney Vow Renewal cost a lot less and is a lot more affordable. Read more
