With this being Memorial Day weekend, it is a good time to point out a little known gem you may have missed at the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World. If you noticed the flag pole standing prominently in Town Square on Main Street USA, you may not have given it a second thought. There is a flag that has been hoisted prior to the park opening. Since the flag needs to be removed before dark, the Magic Kingdom presents a Flag Retreat ceremony every day at 5:00 pm. Read more

Relaxation and Disney Fun by the Pool!

Relax…at Disney World? That’s an oxymoron, right? When friends and family ask for my advice when planning their vacations, I always put rest days at the top of my list of recommendations. It’s hard to resist the urge to go, go, go every day but if you are traveling with children, it’s important for them have some down time, physically and mentally. Disney World can be very exciting and overstimulating. Rest days are nice for the caregivers as well.
