My household is alive with excitement because with winter (seemingly) coming to an end, we have a lot to look forward to in the upcoming warm weather months. With our next Walt Disney World vacation just weeks away, I am busy planning everything down to the last detail. Dining reservations have been made and I feel confident about them. FastPass+ selections have been made but I will probably change them a half dozen times. The Disney savings jar is filling up. The trip is paid off. The flight has been booked. So you made it to Walt Disney World. With your kids. Maybe you’d been before you had kids and rode all the rides and watched every show to your heart’s content. Maybe you’ve never been before and did not realize that attractions for humans over three and a half feet tall even existed. But now you’re here and you’re looking at the guide map. You realize all of the sudden that there are grown-up things to do. You look at the other grown-up or grown-ups with you and think to yourself, “it sure would be fun to try those thrill rides.” You feel a little guilty, but you shouldn’t. Disney with Little Ones: Our Picks for FastPass+ at Magic Kingdom
While some guests prefer to wing it, we enjoy making our FastPass+ selections well ahead of time and adjusting them as needed while on vacation. There’s been a great deal of debate about whether the FastPass+ diminishes spontaneity or adds time and value to your magical vacation. FastPass+ selections can always be adjusted once in the park. Personally, I love it. The trouble isn’t in the planning ahead for me, but in trying to decide which attractions we want to utilize each beloved FastPass+. Having small children, their preferences and tolerance for standing in lines are taken into consideration. Read more
