My 12 Days of Christmas, Disney-Style

(Editor’s Note: As Christmas is one week from today, I am taking the liberty of re-running a favorite Disney/Christmas post from years past – since I have yet to receive any of these gifts, maybe this year it will finally happen. I mean, a girl can hope, right? 🙂 )

“On the First Day of Christmas, my true love gave to me, a partridge in a pear tree…..”

And so goes the song, sharing what her (his?) True Love gave as gifts over the 12 Days of Christmas. While this traditional version finds the songwriter to be the lucky recipient of some pretty odd tokens of affection, (12 drummers drumming…..really? Sounds pretty noisy, and like something I would probably be returning.), it does make modern gift-givers in search of that perfect present wonder: What 12 items could I give my True Love?

For many, a visit to Walt Disney World during the Holiday Season would not be complete without seeing the Candlelight Processional. Performed 3 times each night at Epcot, from the day after Thanksgiving until Dec. 30, this moving concert tells the story of the Nativity, featuring a 50-piece orchestra, celebrity narrator and a massed choir made up of choirs (including many student/school groups) from around the country. What to Expect in Winter at Walt Disney World

Do you have a vacation to Walt Disney World planned for the coming winter? When cold weather arrives, I think many of us who live in the “north” relish the idea of visiting sunny Florida in the winter – after all, who doesn’t love the idea of getting away from all that snow and ice for a few days, especially if you’re going on a Disney vacation!

But. Before you pack your shorts, sandals and swimsuits, I need to let you in on a little secret: Read more
