Disney’s Contemporary Resort is home to a huge gingerbread Christmas tree. I can almost bet that you have never seen such an impressive gingerbread creation.
Disney’s Polynesian Resort has smaller sized decorations than most other resorts. What is lacking in size is made up in beauty. The decorations here are a nice mixture of the islands and the holidays.
The holidays are done up big at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. They have a life sized gingerbread house during the holidays. There are gingerbread tiles and other holiday treats available for purchase at this house.
If you prefer more rustic Christmas decorations be sure and head over to Disney’s Wilderness Lodge. There is an enormous Christmas tree in the lobby adorned with traditional decorations as well as pine cones and antlers.
Looking for chocolate and gingerbread together? Disney’s Boardwalk Resort is the place to go. There is a gazebo in the lobby made entirely of chocolate and gingerbread. Keep an eye out for several hidden Mickeys as you admire the decorations at this resort.
The next stop, Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club Resorts. The Beach Club has a spinning life size carousel, that is also edible! If you have never seen this it is a prime example of Disney magic. The Yacht Club is home to a miniature train and a Christmas village. The detail put into this village is very impressive.
African inspired decorations can be found at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge on the massive Christmas tree in the lobby. You will also find garland and other spectacular decorations at this resort.
If you need a Santa Claus photo, Downtown Disney is the place to be. There is an abundance of lights and decorated trees also around Downtown Disney. Live entertainment is in store for you there. Some of the entertainment includes holiday carolers, performances of holiday songs, costumed stilt walkers and street performers. Don’t miss the deejay who is hosting a holiday dance party there.
All Walt Disney World Resorts are exquisitely decorated for the holidays. Hopefully you find time during your stay to enjoy the sites and sounds of the season.
Denise has loved Disney as far back as she can remember. She has two teenage girls who were raised with Disney. Their rooms were decorated, and their closets were filled with Disney articles. Denise’s house now has Disney on every wall. Her wardrobe is made up mostly of Disney clothes. She feels that being surrounded by Disney keeps the memories and magic alive! Her friends affectionately call her “the crazy Disney lady”. Denise was born and raised in Oregon. Currently she lives in both Oregon and Florida splitting her time between both parts of the country. She lives with her youngest daughter (15) and her roommate. Her daughter goes to high school In Oregon. Denise and her roommate sneak away to Florida several times a year, as often as possible. Her daughter tags along when she can, without missing too much school. Her oldest daughter (20) doesn’t make it to Florida much anymore, but hopes to again very soon. Denise’s first trip to Walt Disney World was for her birthday in 2009. She fell more in love with the magic of Disney that day! Ever since then, Denise and her kids have been annual passholders. Last spring she upgraded to a premier pass to include Disneyland. Over spring break her youngest daughter had the pleasure of her first visit to Disneyland. With Denise helping them plan, her brother and his family enjoyed their first family trip to Disneyland at that same time. Denise is looking forward to helping you with money saving tips as well as sharing the excitement and magic of Disney!
