This is a really fun activity to do while in Disney. You really don’t even need the “Hidden Mickey” book for this fun and FREE game, just play the old fashioned way and scope them out. We all know the classic shape of our favorite mouse…
Well…he is hidden in secret places all over the World! Seriously, look at your resort bed spread, or at the plate you get at dinner, or around you in line…they are everywhere!
Some Hidden Mickeys are really obvious, and some are more difficult to find, so there are enough of them for all ages and abilities.
A great way to find them are to ask Cast Members. Have your kids ask if there are any around, and the Cast Member may give you clues and help. This may be helpful for our smaller friends to get started looking.
I love using this game in lines! We love finding abstract ones, like three circles close to each other, and wondering if it could be one or not. This is where that Hidden Mickey guide may be helpful because most of them are listed in there. There is also an app too, which is easier than carrying the book around.
These little, free activities help add even more magic into your vacation in WDW. Try finding some Mickeys on your next trip! Giver your kids a little notebook and have them keep track of the ones they find, they will have a blast looking, and it helps us all take the time to see and take in all the Disney decor that we may otherwise miss:)
Tina works full time as a school counselor in an elementary school. She lives close to Baltimore, MD with her husband Dave and her 13 year old stepdaughter, Ashley. They also have a furry family member, a cat name Frodo, that keeps life interesting in their house! Tina began visiting Disney World as a child with her family, and now her, Dave & Ashley take a trip to the World every year. She considers herself a Disney “fanatic” and once her family is finished one trip, she is already planning their next one. Tina loves to find the best deals, even in the busy seasons (she can only go when schools are off!) and loves sharing those deals & tips with anyone and everyone! What Tina loves most is the magic of WDW, it makes her feel like a kid again. She hopes that every family has the opportunity go to the World and experience the magic for themselves because it has a way of reminding its visitors that dreams do indeed come true!
