Several years ago, my husband and I were in need of a “chill” place and a cool adult beverage on our Disney vacation. I suggested just that and his response was – “you can’t find that here!” We were in Disney Hollywood Studios at the time. “HA-watch me” was my response! After finding a great shaded picnic table beside The Great Movie Ride, I set off to get our adult beverages. At the first kiosk cart I found, they served beer. Needless to say I was the hero that day!
It is many people’s misconception that adult beverages are not available in the Disney World parks. My response is “only in Magic Kingdom.” All 3 other parks have multiple places to purchase beer, wine and other adult beverages. You can find them either at some of the kiosks around or the counter service eateries. With the exception of Magic Kingdom, all sit-down restaurants also have a variety of adult beverages on the menu. The only restaurant at Magic Kingdom to serve beer and wine (at dinner only) is Be Our Guest.
Keep in mind, while it is nice to chill and enjoy a drink, prices can be more expensive than your favorite pub back home. For that reason, we generally will bring a bottle or two of wine with us from home to enjoy in the room after an exciting day in the parks. This makes a great way to unwind in the evening….and saves money too.
Throughout every Disney park, you can find those out of the way places to just sit, chill and people watch. From the benches around the Tree of Life to the gondola balcony in Italy to the umbrella tables beside The Great Movie Ride, Disney has made sure to allow people of all ages to sit and just enjoy the ambiance of being at Disney – places to take a breather and to chill. After all, being at Disney is exciting in itself – wouldn’t it be nice to sit and really soak up the magic Disney has to offer?
Do you have a favorite place to chill with your adult beverage?
