This awesome show originally was never intended to be permanent, but after it first opened in Camp Mickey and Minnie, it became one of the most popular attractions in Animal Kingdom. Because of the popularity, it ended up as a permanent show. And then when Camp Mickey and Minnie was closed to make way for the construction of Avatar land, Festival of the Lion King was then moved in to their new and permanent home at the Harambe Theater in 2014.
The Harambe Theater comfortably seats over 1300 guests and divides them into 4 sections. Each section will represent a different animal to join in the fun. The 4 sections are the Warthogs, the Elephants, the Giraffe and the Lion. Regardless of which section of the round theater you are in, you will be up front and personal with all the action. You will join Simba and his friends, including 4 human singers in celebrating the Festival of the Lion King!
