Special Dining Needs at Disney: Flowers, Gardens and Food (Allergy Free!)

It’s Spring at Disney and so as happens every year, Epcot is hosting the annual Flower and Garden Festival for all of the ticket holding guests.  There is no extra fee for the Flower and Garden Festival, just the cost of a regular admission park ticket.  However there is more to enjoy than just the beautiful topiaries and flowers.  Like the Food and Wine Festival in the fall, the Flower and Garden Festival boasts food booths around the world showcase.  This could be a nightmare for someone with a food allergy – having to see the glorious mouth watering food and unable to eat it. Special Dining Needs At Disney: Loving an Old Favorite All Over Again

12038776_10207482997380462_3165084919530989419_oWhen I was little and we went to Epcot, the only exciting part of the day was going to the Rose and Crown or the Yorkshire County Fish Shop window.  There I would get my fish and chips with tartar sauce and malt vinegar.  That would keep me happy for a while so that my parents could enjoy the rest of Epcot.  I did not fully understand and appreciate all that was Epcot.  This of course has changed as I’ve gotten older and can appreciate the World Showcase.  Read more

Special Dining Needs at Disney: A Food Tale As Old As Time

IMG_0686It’s a tale as old as time, girl loves food, food loves girl, but then gluten gets in the middle of it.  Disney steps in, escorts gluten out, and girl can eat happily ever after!  I know many people out there feel the same with a few substitutes: boys, girls, men, women, gluten, dairy, peanut, or kosher.  There are many things that make us unique, what we can manage to eat being one of them.  As you already know I love Disney because I can eat almost anything my heart desires.  The last time I went though I fell in love all over again.
