Has this been a crazy busy summer for anyone else? I’m finding that I barely have time to catch up on email, much less relax at all. So I think it is time reiterate how to bring a touch of the Disney feeling home.
Look at your pictures or videos from your past trips. It’s even better if you can look at those pictures with friends or family, especially if they went with you or are planning to join you in an upcoming trip. You can really reminisce about the good times and memories you made during your break from reality.
If you are anything like me, you probably are already on social media so why not visit a few some Disney fan pages on Facebook, Twitter, or Pinterest or the Disney Parks Blog to see what is new. And make sure to follow your favorites (especially The Affordable Mouse) to get involved in unique conversations. There are always websites to keep you updated on current events at WDW. My particular favorites are www.allears.net and www.mouseowners.com. On Mouseowners, you can read other guests’ trip reports from their vacations, which is always a fun way to spend anywhere from a few minutes to a few hours. Or subscribe to follow a Disney Travel Agent (The Affordable Mouse is a great option) to receive weekly newsletters and updates.
Now for the ultimate solution which I think is the absolute best way to combat stress….start planning your next vacation! Nothing brought a smile to my face more than figuring out that Kenny and I both couldn’t really wait unit October 2015 for our next vacation. An extra bonus of planning a vacation is that I get to check out restaurants from the comfort of my couch (bonus way to daydream). I absolutely love reading WDW menus! It makes me excited to read the menu changes to see what restaurants I want to try on each trip and decide which of our old favorites we need to revisit.
Well, off to vacation planning I go…or at least I can dream! Have a Magical Day!
Adrienne is originally from the Chicago area but lives outside of Indianapolis with her husband, 2 dogs, and 2 cats. She went to Disneyland when she was 7, which started her love of Disney. She even named one of her dogs after her favorite princess, Aurora. She and Kenny, her husband celebrated their honeymoon at Walt Disney World in 2007 and have returned for every anniversary. They have stayed at variety of resorts on property and traveled with friends and family. Adrienne and Kenny bought into DVC in May 2011 and rewarded themselves with their first fall trip for some of the special events. Adrienne and Kenny consider WDW their “second home” and have become the go-to people for any Disney related questions and advice from friends, families, and acquaintances.
