Special Events at Disney World: Ho, Ho, Ho, and a Disney Refillable Mug of Hot Chocolate

You thought I was going to say rum, didn’t you?  Well, no, Disney doesn’t serve rum in the park, so we will be toasting the holidays with hot chocolate in a great Disney mug!

Speaking of great Disney mugs, they are available at Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party.  Mickey throws a great party at the Magic Kingdom Park with holiday cheer, hot chocolate, Christmas cookies, and a Magical Christmas parade!  Cinderella’s Castle promises to be spectacular in its magical Frozen transformation this year.  On party nights, MK park closes early and the party guests (must have park ticket and MVMCP ticket too) have exclusive hours from 7:00 pm to midnight to ride, watch the parades and have snacks of hot chocolate and cookies on Mickey!  Party nights are November 7, 10, 13, 14, 16, 20, 21 and 30; and December 2, 4, 5, 7, 9, 11, 12, 14, 16, 18 and 19, 2014.  Be sure to make your reservations early so you can attend the party while you are having your Christmas Disney vacation… the closer to Christmas the party the faster it sells out!

♪♫♪♫♪♫Walking in a winter wonderland! Sleigh bells ring, are you listening?♫♪♫♪♫♪  Disney’s Holiday D-Lights is a magical 5-hour tour  that unwraps some of Disney’s secrets behind the most cherished traditions at Disney World…Although the price is a bit more than magical ($209/person)… the tour takes in the Candlelight Processional at Epcot,  Hollywood Studios’ Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights, and Cinderella’s Castle in Magic Kingdom. You then meet the Event & Decorating Support team that turns the resorts into the magical events each year and then wrap up the tour with a light holiday-themed buffet which is included in the tour.  Each guest receives a limited-edition keepsake pin exclusive only to this tour.  Adults only in this one, so age 16 and up only.

Attention to all Teens!  Disney’s Yuletide Fantasy is just for you!  Cast members and “elves” will show you how WDW resort parks and hotels get all decorated for Christmas!  Exploration includes the World Showcase; up-close and personal with the traditional trimmings of Main Street, USA in Magic Kingdom; and then visit a resort hotel to see how the lavish magical atmosphere is created in each resort!  A special holiday keepsake is given to each guest to remember the Christmas magic at Disney!  Only teens 16 and older.  No cameras, cell phones or video equipment can be used backstage but take it with you, cause there will be plenty of photo opportunities in non-backstage areas!  This tour makes a great Christmas gift for your special teen at $89/person.

Festival of Seasons!  This one is great for the whole family, especially our little ones!  Santa Claus waiting to meet the wee ones in our group and all the magic wishes can come true with unique shopping opportunities at Downtown Disney with twinkling lights, a humongous Christmas tree with live holiday music throughout Downtown Disney! Don’t miss the DJ holiday dance party!  Remember that Disney is sprinkling pixie dust over Downtown Disney for the largest expansion there in history, the transformation into Disney Springs.  This expansion has ongoing construction and is making parking limited.  Disney is recommending to all Disney Resort hotel guests to take advantage of the complimentary transportation options.  For driving guests, please arrive at least 60 minutes before all reservations and planned activities.    Now through December 29, 2014!
