Tidbits of Disney News Just for You
Hello Mouse Fans!! Well, summer has officially begun and the park is full of families ready to have fun!! Who doesn’t love visiting with the Disney Princesses when you are at Disney World? Because of the popularity and wait times of Frozen’s Anna and Elsa at Princess Fairytale Hall in Fantasyland…Snow White and Aurora have moved to a NEW Meet-N-Greet location in Magic Kingdom! You can now meet Snow White, (who happens to be MY favorite Princess), at Center Street on Main Street USA and Aurora will be waiting to meet you in the Town Square Courtyard on Main Street USA! Be sure and tell them I said hello and I will see them in September!!
Over at Animal Kingdom, you will have a ROARING good time at Festival of the Lion King which re-opened June 1st in it’s new home in Africa’s Harambe Theater! A great place to get out of the heat and enjoy a “Broadway” show, Festival of the Lion King is an audience involved performance that you can sing along with while watching amazing acrobats, awesome puppets, beautiful costumed entertainers and then experience a grande finale like you’ve never seen before!! You will definitely want to put this fantastic show on your to-do list!!
If any of you are going to be at Disney World in early July, you won’t want to miss the Celebrate America! – A Fourth of July Concert in the Sky! Taking place on July 3rd and 4th, this patriotic salute to America will thrill you with fireworks and special effects set to music as you watch the night sky light up over Cinderella’s Castle in Magic Kingdom! Show your Patriotic Disney Side with pride!!
One of my favorite things to do while I’m at Disney World is enjoy all of the different foods available…so for YOUR Disney Dining pleasure, on June 21st, from 5pm to 10pm, Downtown Disney is hosting a local food truck event at the West Side called “Trucks on the Town”! Fourteen different food trucks will be featured, so you can enjoy yummy treats from BBQ to seafood to cupcakes!! So go hungry and ENJOY!!
And while you are Downtown Disney, you will want to stop in and check out the new Marketplace Co-Op that just opened! You will find a variety of Disney Parks merchandise in the 6 boutiques that are featured inside! What a magical way to end your day after eating at the food trucks…then shopping to your hearts content for Disney souvineers to take home!!
Well, that’s it for now Mouseketeers…until next time…enjoy your weekend and have Sweet Disney Dreams!!
As Julie says: “I am addicted to all things Disney! I grew up in Vernon, TX and now reside in Waller, TX (outside of Houston) on a small ranch with my hubby and all of our animals who we affectionately call “The Zoo Crew”! We have been married almost a year now (together for 7) and have 5 children and 9 grandchildren between the 2 of us. We knew we were meant for each other when we discovered we were both Disney fanatics! I went to Disneyland for the first time when I was 6 and fell in love with the magic of Disney. Now, my husband and I go to Disney World every 2 years either with friends or with whichever kid and grandkid are available to go at the time. We spend a lot of time planning our trips to ensure that everyone has the most memorable time while there, so that is what I will be writing about and hopefully give you some ideas to try for YOUR next Disney vacation. I am very excited to be a part of The Affordable Mouse team!”
