Tidbits of Disney News Just for You

Hello there Mouse Fans…hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving!!  This is the wonderful time of year when we count our many blessings…and one of our biggest blessings is having such a MAGICAL place to visit…Disney World!!  The Holiday season is a fantastic time to experience the wonder of Disney…and with so many different events going on in the beautifully decorated parks…you won’t want to miss any of them!!

On select nights in the Magic Kingdom, you can enjoy a fun winter celebration…Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party!  With beautiful fireworks, a holiday parade and lots of live entertainment and character meet and greets, this is one party you will want to attend!  You will even see it snowing on Main Street, U.S.A. and can enjoy complimentary cookies and hot cocoa at several treat locations around the park. And you won’t want to miss A Frozen Holiday Wish…you will be mesmerized as you watch Cinderella’s Castle transform into a glistening, glowing, gorgeous spectacle of icy holiday lights as Elsa uses her powers to bring this unforgettably breathtaking show to life.  Don’t forget…MVMCP is a separate ticketed event…but the Frozen Holiday Wish takes place each night and is included in
your park admission.  You will even get to see Santa himself in Mickey’s Once Upon A Christmastime Parade when he comes down Main Street U.S. A. to wish YOU a MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

Over at Hollywood Studios, you will definitely want to see The Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights, which takes place nightly!  This year Jack Skellington from The Nightmare Before Christmas will join the display!!  With over five million lights, the Streets of America become a fantasyland that you will never forget…and will want to see again and again!!  And don’t forget to stop by the Christmas tree outside the main entrance for a great photo opportunity too!!

From November 28th to December 29th, Holidays Around the World at Epcot gives you the
opportunity to learn about the holiday traditions that take place in other countries.  Storytellers from around the world, such as Pere Noel from France, Santa Claus from America or La Befana from Italy will enchant you with messages of goodwill and Christmas cheer!  Even “Illuminations: Reflections of Earth” has a holiday finale, Peace on Earth, that will definitely get you in the holiday spirit!!  Another holiday tradition at Epcot, the Candlelight Processional, which is a retelling of the Christmas story by a celebrity narrator, takes place three times each evening at the American Adventure Theater.

While you are at Animal Kingdom, you won’t want to miss the Christmas tree at the entrance.  Beautifully decorated to match the theme of the park, you will want to take lots of pictures of this majestic tree!

Other must sees are the Gingerbread House at the Grand Floridian Resort and the “Frozen” Gingerbread Display at Disney’s Contemporary Resort!

With so many fun things to see and do during the holidays at Disney World, it’s no wonder so many people choose this MAGICAL time of the year to visit the happiest place on earth!

Until next time Mouseketeers…have a MAGICAL week…and Sweet Disney Dreams!!

As Julie says: “I am addicted to all things Disney! 🙂 I grew up in Vernon, TX and now reside in Waller, TX (outside of Houston) on a small ranch with my hubby and all of our animals who we affectionately call “The Zoo Crew”! We have been married almost a year now (together for 7) and have 5 children and 9 grandchildren between the 2 of us. We knew we were meant for each other when we discovered we were both Disney fanatics! 🙂 I went to Disneyland for the first time when I was 6 and fell in love with the magic of Disney. Now, my husband and I go to Disney World every 2 years either with friends or with whichever kid and grandkid are available to go at the time. We spend a lot of time planning our trips to ensure that everyone has the most memorable time while there, so that is what I will be writing about and hopefully give you some ideas to try for YOUR next Disney vacation. I am very excited to be a part of The Affordable Mouse team!”
