Hello Disney Friends! How are your Holiday preparations coming along? Before you run out today to get more shopping done, take a few minutes to check out the latest Disney news that Rachel has found for you! 🙂

A little disappointing news for those in the Washington, DC area (Nancy is still sobbing about this….): Disney has cancelled plans to build a Disney resort at the National Harbor development in suburban Maryland.

If you were thinking about making reservations at the new spa-like renovations to the Contemporary, you will need to think again. Plans to create new health and wellness suites there have been scrapped.

If you’re travelling to Walt Disney World in the later part of December, you can now get a picnic meal and reserved seating for Fantasmic at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. These are similar to those offered at DCA for World of Color. There are a couple of different meals to choose from, and they are part of the Disney Dining Plan, but will only be available Dec. 18-Dec. 31.
