Disney Dining: Top Ten Walt Disney World Restaurants

If you are like me, you have a list of your favorite restaurants in Walt Disney World.  I am constantly amazed & delighted by the quality of food that Disney produces, as well as the atmosphere they create.  Dining in Disney World is truly magical.  These are a handful of my favorite restaurants and why I love them.  You will not be disappointed if you try any of them!

‘Ohana

Why I love it:  First of all, the food is amazing.  They give you a LOT of it too, so please…please come very hungry!  My favorite part of the meal is the pork dumplings, and that is just an appetizer.  I seriously could have eaten 20 of them, but I knew that more food was coming and had to save room.  The salad was also so yummy, with a honey-lime dressing that I am dying to recreate.  Then the lovely waiters come around with SO.MUCH.MEAT on skewers and offer each kind to you…steak, shrimp, pork…it’s a meatlovers heaven.

Second, the atmosphere is honestly one of the best in all the World.  You sit in a big open room with the wood fire grill and chefs right in the middle.  You have an amazing view of Magic Kingdom and surrounding areas from almost every seat.  Plus there is live entertainment that gets kids up and out of their seats, having a good time!  If you are lucky to be there during  Wishes, they pump the music in and you can enjoy it from afar. Amazing!

Boma

Why I love it: This fab buffet dinner has all sorts of delicious options, some are foods that you are familiar with, and some are very unique but just as yummy!  We’ve enjoyed many dinners here.  The restaurant is located on the lower level of the Animal Kingdom lobby.  The decor and staff are awesome.  Before dinner you can go out to the viewing area and see the animals, or just sit and soak up the beautiful lobby.

Chef Mickeys

Why I love it:  I love the Contemporary so much.  I love that you can ride the monorail right.into.it!  I love it even more for Chef Mickey’s.  This is a classic Disney buffet, with so many good food options.  We’ve only been for lunch and dinner.  They serve roasted meats, with the chefs right there to cut it for you, pastas, salads, even sushi!!  The main reason we love coming here is because you will meet and greet all the beloved Disney characters, Mickey, Minnie, Donald, etc.  Every 15 minutes or so they come out and have a little dance party and then circle the tables for hugs and pictures.  I don’t know if any Disney vacation of ours is complete without coming here!  Oh, and the views are pretty great too;)

Be Our Guest

Why I love it: Ok, technically we were only here for the counter service lunch.  But!  That was SO much like a sit down experience, I had to add it.  They do serve dinner in the evening, and I can only imagine that is just has awesome.  This is located in New Fantasyland “inside” Beast’s castle.  There are 3 rooms that you can choose to eat in, the ballroom, the library and the west wing.  The decoration and atmosphere are AMAZING.  It even snows “outside” while you eat.  The food we tried at the counter service was so delish!  You order from a screen, then find your seat.  A waiter actually brings you the food, so it seems like a sit down!  It was one of my favorite experiences during our last trip.  I had the Croque Monsieur sandwich and it was so good.

Whispering Canyon

Why I love it:  This place is fun, what else can I say?  The food is also good.  It’s family style, but just at your private table.  They bring out meats and corn and potatoes and corn bread until you are totally stuffed.  The waiters and waitresses make a spectacle out of most things, such as napkins and straws.  If you ask for ketchup, you may find your table loaded with bottles!  The entertainment is just plain fun!

Raglan Road

Why I love it:  Located in Downtown Disney, we ate here for the first time on our last trip, and we can’t wait to go back.  The food was so good, one of the best meals we’ve had in WDW {and we’ve had a LOT of really good meals!} I had the braised beef and I thought I was in heaven.  We were here at night, so the Irish Dancers were performing and it was delightful!  We loved the noise and the bustle, it felt like we were in a real Irish pub!

Coral Reef

Why I love it:  This is my step daughter’s favorite restaurant.  It’s located in Epcot and the atmosphere is so awesome.  You dine with the view of huge fish tanks along one wall, the same tanks that you can see upstairs after the Nemo attraction.  Huge, mesmerizing fish swim by as you enjoy your lovely meal.  The tables have little booklets that kids {and adults too!} can use to help identify the marine life.  The food is very good.  We love the steak and this last trip, all three of us ordered it!

Les Chefs de France

Why I love it:  I love France.  I love Paris.  So this little French gem tucked into the France pavilion of Epcot is totally speaking my language.  Disney does such a great job with atmosphere, don’t they?  You can’t help but feel that you are at a hip cafe in the middle of Paris with a smart and sassy French waiter to guide you through the menu.  The food was parfait!  I had the Beef Bourgignon, Dave and Ashley both had steak.  All was amazing. The desserts were so heavenly, I wish I had save much more room for my creme brûlée!

Rose & Crown Pub

Why I love it:  Another Epcot favorite, located in England of the World Showcase.  This place is a prime location to watch Illuminations.  If you make a reservation anytime past 7:00pm, you can ask them to seat you outside where you can have the best view.  Every time we have eaten here, I’ve gone early up to the window where you check in for dinner and asked them for this seating and every time we have been lucky enough to get it.  There’s nothing like have your own table, with food and a pint in front of you, watching one of the best shows that Disney offers.  The food is very good too.  I love the fish and chips!

Crystal Palace

Why I love it:  This is another amazing buffet!  This one is located in Magic Kingdom, with wonderful views of the castle just outside.  This is a classic Disney dining experience for us.  The buffet food is good, with carved meats and salads and soups.  You also enjoy the company of the characters from Winnie The Pooh while you eat!  We love the feel of the place, it just feels…magical inside.  The staff is always so sweet, and so helpful!  Your small children will absolutely love this experience, and adults will find themselves enjoying it too!
