Dining at Walt Disney World: Boulangerie Patisserie

One of my favorite Counter Service locations in Walt Disney World Resort is the Boulangerie Patisserie located in World Showcase – France. Past the Bistro de Paris and the Chefs de France entrance is an absolutely awesome pastry shop with a variety of tarts, mousse, eclairs, quiche and croissants. There is also ham & cheese croissants, quiche and sandwiches available. As you pass through a stone entrance you’ll find one of the best counter services available with such a variety you’ll find yourself stopping by here often.

The Patisserie will transport you to the heart of Paris at a quaint sidewalk cafe!
The lines are continuously out the door at the Patisserie, but with a full selection on both sides, they do keep moving. Slow but steady! I try to look at the menu prior to getting in line, but that goes out the window once inside. Well actually this could happen prior to going inside, since those wonderful smells are piped outside to attract and entice you!

I have had quite a few things from here, mainly due to using the buddy system; buy two or three items for several people to share – works every time. Not only can you save money, but it gives you a chance to try things you normally wouldn’t spend full price for just by itself. An easy item to share is the cheese plate with French baguette bread. This is perfect when paired with a Merlot or Cabernet from Les Vins des Chefs de France, next store where glasses of wine are served.

The Patisserie does have a variety of beverages including, cokes, bottled water, orange juice, milk, coffee, cappuccino and smoothies, however the only adult beverage available is Kronenbourg 1664(French beer).

The bistro tables along the walkway outside the Patisserie fill up quite quickly, but if you step into the La Signature to the left as you exit, you will find plenty of tables. You’ll notice this as the exit from Impressions de France. The tables are set off to the side by themselves away from the stream of people passing through.

Trying the different counter services available through-out World Showcase is a “mini” Food and Wine Festival anytime of the year!
