After exiting your “2-week” safari in the Harambe Reserve, be sure and take in the Pangani Forest Exploration Trail where you will find not only a very shaded walking trail, but also some very mid-mannered and funny kings of the jungle! These gorillas are quite amusing as they make their way thru the jungle and stop for the occasional drink in the nature brook.
Here in the Pangani Forest Exploration Trail, you will find gorilla’s living peacefully in their somewhat nature environment. There is a section for families as well as the bachelor area. It is hard to believe that these huge powerful beings are not only vegetarians, but are also very peace loving.
In the family area, there always seem to be the mischievous youngster trying their parent’s patience as they run and play. We recent watched as one youngster run up the hill to his parents to fall and roll back down. All while mom and dad sat quickly by – you could almost hear them laughing to themselves.
This is definitely an area where I could spend hours relaxing and enjoying the nature show of the gorillas!
