I absolutely love walking around the Tree of Life, through the Discovery Trails and exploring the 300 + animals “carved” in to the trunk of this magnificent man-made tree! Not only is it a relaxing and shaded walkway, but it also gives you an up-close view of every animal and creature. Every time I have been there, I find other creatures I never saw before. It is hard to believe each leaf, twig, etc was meticulously hand crafted to become the icon of Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
The Tree of Life stands 145 feet tall and 50 feet at its base. Under the Tree of Life you can also find the 3D show It’s Tough to be a Bug! Here you will become an Honorary Bug complete with “bug-eye” glasses to enhance your 3D experience. Word of caution, this is a dark theater and could frighten small children.
