Exploring Disney: Mine, Mine, Mine

There are many sounds throughout Disney World that my family loves hearing. From the train to “hurry back” to “it’s out of this world!”. There is one in EPCOT, however, that the little and I constantly say to each other when we are not “home”.

MINE, MINE, MINE. Read more

Exploring Disney: The Pirate’s League

After Pirates League

On our first Disney trip as a family of four and the first ever trip for our son, I decided that I wanted to have some “special” experiences on our trip – special, but affordable. I waivered back and forth on booking The Pirate’s League situated in the Magic Kingdom’s Adventureland section. Disney describes the activity as “A rollicking good time where you get to be a pirate for a day with Captain Jack and his crew.” I read several online reviews which seemed positive and provided a peak into the experience: facepainting, costumes and pirate talk. It sounded like great fun for kids (and kids at heart). Read more

Exploring Disney World: Get a Glimpse of Where Your Salad Was Born

We’ve been having a fun time roaming around the Magic Kingdom, and there’s plenty left to see, but the crowds are building up, so let’s hop on over to another park, shall we? How about EPCOT? You did get Park Hoppers, right? (If you’re not sure why I’m asking you that, take a minute to read my thoughts on Hopping versus Not-Hopping. You can catch the next monorail over. Exploring Disney: Getting Splashy in Your Laughing Place

Everybody has a laughing place. You’ve heard that, right?

Exploring Disney: Fulfilling Mermaid Dreams with Ariel

Now that we’ve made our way down Main Street, we are going to venture further into the rest of the park and see what we can discover. There are many different directions that we can go once we reach the gardens in front of Cinderella Castle, but today we are going go straight through the center and explore Fantasyland (technically New Fantasyland). While you roam through the middle of the castle, be sure to take in the gorgeous mosaic on the wall. Those little tiles were individually hand-set and tell the story of Cinderella. This is also where you’ll find the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique and Cinderella’s Royal Table.

Once through the castle you’ll find yourself standing at Prince Charming’s Royal Carousel. From here, head through the turrets that will bring you into the newest section of the Magic Kingdom. The first section you encounter is themed to Beauty and the Beast. Here you’ll find some of the other gems we’ll be exploring soon, including Be Our Guest Restaurant. Today, though, we are going past provincial France and into the world of Eric and Ariel. Find the front of the ship and Ariel’s castle, and you are ready to venture under the sea. Read more
