Continuing on our Globus tour of Italy’s Great Cities, after leaving Rome, we headed north towards Venice. As it’s a long drive though, we made a few stops along the way. First was an overnight stay in Umbria at Posta Donini, a 17th century villa in the town of San Martino in Campo. This lovely villa has been completely renovated into a luxurious resort and spa – with a wonderful restaurant to go with it. I confess that, while looking forward to Venice and the rest of our tour, it was definitely tempting to want to stay here longer! Read more

Adventures Abroad: Rome, the Eternal City
To say that we had a wonderful time on our Italy vacation would be an understatement! Globus Tours did a fabulous job of planning the tour of “Italy’s Great Cities” and while it would be impossible to see and do everything in Italy in 9 days, we did a LOT during our time there, and lifetime memories were absolutely made!

Romantic Italy
It’s February, the month of love, and nothing says “love” like travel (at least in my house).
Romance travel is hugely popular with many folks, whether it’s planning a honeymoon, celebrating a special anniversary, or even just spending time with that someone special, reconnecting in a way that you can’t do with all the stress and worries of daily life.
So with all that in mind – and because it’s Valentine’s Day/month – romantic travel is what we are focusing on this month, and we are beginning in one of the most romantic places in the world (and home to many of the top bucket list destinations on just about any list) – Italy! Read more
