Terrific Tuesdays: Expedition Everest

From just about anywhere near the Animal Kingdom, you can see the snowy peak of Mount Everest.  And the closer you get to the ride, the more you believe you have actually been transported to the Himalayas.  Starting in the ride queue, you feel like you’re waiting to start your trek to find the Yeti – research, pictures, and artifacts from previous expeditions are there for you to explore!  Bells ring the entire way, prayer flags are prevalent, tributes to the Yeti abound, the attention to detail Disney used when re-creating the villages near Everest is breathtaking.  It’s no wonder the Guinness Book of World Records lists this as the most expensive roller coaster ever built! Terrific Tuesdays: Lights, Motor, Action!

Whether it’s blazing hot or cool, completely enjoyable weather, your feet can always use a break while visiting Disney World.  One of the shows that we most enjoy is at Hollywood Studios: Lights, Motor, Action! is all the way in the back so sometimes it can get overlooked, however it is a must see for my kiddos so we do it often.   Read more

Terrific Tuesday: Future World Attractions

   

As you walk through the gates of Epcot, you enter the Future World.  The first attraction encountered is the giant sphere that houses Spaceship Earth.  Here you’ll take a ride through the centuries and learn about the history of communication.  You will also create your own future with the touch screen computer located in your “car”.  Following the ride, there is an interactive post show where visitors can play virtual reality games and even send your trip to the future via email post card home to friends and family.  Read more
