The first thing you’ll see when you arrive at EPCOT, is what most people call the “golf-ball”. This always makes me smile, because the only thing about it that reminds me of a golf ball is that it is round and seems to sit up from the ground as if on a tee! It’s kind of hard to miss that “giant golf ball” at the entrance to Epcot. And while you may be rushing past it on your way to Soarin’ or Frozen Ever After, Spaceship Earth is an attraction that you shouldn’t miss if you’ve never been to Walt Disney World! Karen grew up in the Boston area and traveled to Disney World many times with her parents and sister. Always staying at the Fort Wilderness Cabins gave the trips a feeling of a home away from home. It also started the tradition of attending the Hoop Dee Doo Review on each trip! Somehow that show sparked her interest in the Disney College Program. Photography has always been a hobby of Karen’s, but over the past few years it has become her passion. It’s even taken her to her favorite place! The Make a Wish Foundation sent a family to Disney for a week and Karen was lucky enough to be their photographer of choice! She got to tag along and photograph their memories being made. She hopes to get that experience again someday!

A few weeks ago we chatted about Magic Kingdom trivia, so now it’s time to blow your friends away with these facts about EPCOT. Now Walt had a concept for Epcot that was not fully fulfilled. For the child who is interested in history, Spaceship Earth at Epcot should not disappoint. This attraction is the iconic symbol for Epcot. I’m continuing my itinerary tips series with Epcot! Itineraries at Epcot are a little different because you have two distinct areas to visit: Future World and World Showcase. Future World is more ride-heavy whereas World Showcase is more suited for wandering. World Showcase also doesn’t open until 11am, so I like to use the morning to hit the Future World rides and then spend the rest of the day at World Showcase. Read more
