It was big news when this Disney classic returned to Walt Disney World last summer. With the great floats, catchy music and of course the lights, it’s pretty easy to see why. There’s nothing like a good parade…and of course no one does a parade like Disney.

Best Use of My Disney Fast Pass: Part 2, Magic Kingdom Park
Author’s Note: This 4-part series answers the question: when you are trying to make the most of your limited time at the parks, and the crowds are maddening, there may be times when you will have to choose which favorite ride you will get a fast pass for that day. What would that ride be? Well, I definitely have my favorites at every park, each of which are covered under this title with parts 1-4.
When I only have limited time at the Magic Kingdom, I will always choose either Splash Mountain or Big Thunder Mountain Railroad as my fast pass; depending on the wait in the standby lines. Both of these rides are a must-do for family fun at the park.
About Splash Mountain
As you can see from this picture, my family and I have a lot of fun on this ride. Always up for a tour through the briar patch we are ready to go. We do sometimes wait until right before leaving the park if it is 50 degrees outside, though, as we do tend to get at least a little wet. Please note that it is possible to get quite wet. Read more
Wordless Wednesday: What Makes Me Smile at Disney World
It never gets old for me….not the attraction, not the dolls, not even the song. To me, there is just something about It’s a Small World that is just inherently happy. And hopeful. That someday, somehow, the beautiful scene at the end of the ride where children of all lands just play together in harmony….may actually happen one day. This ride always makes me smile….as does the hope that one day this may actually happen. Disney’s all about magic, right?
Many thanks to Brenda for this beautiful photo!Wordless Wednesday: Nighttime Disney Magic
Most people probably find Cinderella’s Castle in the Magic Kingdom to be the lovely symbol of all that is beautiful and magical about Walt Disney World. Seeing the Castle by night however, adds one more adjective to the description: breathtaking.
Many thanks to Brenda for this truly magnificent photograph!Thrifty Thursday: Mickey’s PhilharMagic
One of my family’s favorite attractions at the Magic Kingdom is Mickey’s PhilharMagic. This indoor show is all about Disney; a fantastic example of Disney 4-D at its best!
During our recent trip, we were within a large crowd in Fantasyland, waiting for the cast members to drop the ropes following the Wishes fireworks show. We decided to head to Mickey’s PhilharMagic as it only had a 5-minute wait at the time. We noticed a man struggling to keep his daughter (approximately 4 yo) and his son (approximately 2 yo) entertained while trying to struggle with more patience himself. We suggested that they head to the PhilharMagic, too. He said he had not been inside asked what it was, so we told him it was a great show and that we thought the kids would love it. When we left the theater, we found him at the exit and asked him how they liked it. He said they loved it and thanked us for suggesting it. I thought I would take a few minutes today to share some information about this great FREE show as well.
