The Lights, Motors, Actions! Extreme Stunt Show at Disney’s Hollywood Studios is a terrific experience.  My family had always by-passed this thinking it wouldn’t be that great and would only take away from our “ride time”.  On our last trip, however, as we were standing in line to get our FastPasses for Toy Story Midway Mania, Castmembers were handing out free Fastpasses to the show.  They were good for any show of the day and would not interfere with any other FastPasses. Terrific Tuesdays: Surprises on the Great Movie Ride

It is hilarious to me how one can visit Walt Disney World every year and still be surprised by the goings on in the parks. Each time my family visits, we ride all of our favorite rides at each park; sometimes more than once. One of our favorites at Disney’s Hollywood Studios is the Great Movie Ride. We are all movie buffs so we really enjoy cruising along in the tram viewing old movie scenes and animatronic figures from some of our favorites like Mary Poppins, Singin’ in the Rain, and the Wizard of Oz. And, even though we know that the gangster will hijack our vehicle, and we know just about every line of the script, we still enjoy it just the same.

Wordless Wednesday: Mickey’s Sorcerer Hat

I know that many people don’t like the Sorcerer’s hat addition to Hollywood Studios…but I have to admit that I kind of like it. Maybe it’s because I have always loved Fantasia, and especially Sorcerer Mickey. But probably the main reason I like it is because it’s a great and immediately identifiable icon for this park, in a way that the “water tower” never quite did it for me.
