Quiet Spots at Disney World: Where to go When You Need a Break

Finding peace and quiet at Walt Disney World….sounds like “mission impossible” doesn’t it? Disney is many things, but for the majority of the day, the busy-ness and excitement of the resorts and theme parks create an energy….and the noise level to go along with it….that is the complete opposite of peaceful, or quiet.

Still, there are times during your Disney vacation, when that is just what you are going to need. You may have little ones that just won’t nap with distractions. Perhaps you are the one that wants a quiet place to relax and unwind for a few minutes. Or maybe you just want to sit and relax in a nice cool place and get out of the sun. Whatever the reason, this is something that everyone will go looking for at one point on their trip. Where do you go?

Terrific Tuesdays: Disney’s Kilimanjaro Safari

 
At Disney’s Animal Kingdom is an exciting tour into the lush Africa Savannah. Open-air tour vehicles take you on a “2-week” safari that transport you to a front row look at animals of the wild. This ride is bumpy along the way, so hold on as you enter into the plains, shady forest landscapes and into rocky wetlands. You will find yourself so absorbed into seeing wild animals in their own environment that when you do finally make it back to home camp it has actually has only been 18 minutes.

Thrifty Thursday: Guilt-Free Tours

I visit Disney World a lot. But it never feels like a lot because, during each visit, I find something new and exciting to explore or discover. Recently, I experienced my first Disney tour–Segway Around the World Tour–and I’m super excited to try some of the other offerings.

But I’m not made of money, which is why I was so excited to discover that Disney’s tours are available at a range of price points, from insanely expensive to reasonably priced to free. Yes, free.
