Thrifty Thursday: Hold the Guac

What could be wrong with that?

I’ve written about this on my own blog, but it bears repeating: I love San Angel Inn. The food is good, the atmosphere is transporting and the drinks are heavenly. But there’s a hidden fee here that thrifty Mouseketeers may want to avoid. Read more

Dining at Walt Disney World: Upgrade at Pizza Planet!

I have decided to share something with you from my most recent trip to Disney World. One day we decided to use our counter service credit at Toy Story Pizza Planet at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. As you could imagine, the menu is made up of almost all pizza. Adults get a personalized sized pizza, a salad a drink and a choice of a cookie or Mickey Crisped Rice treat for dessert. Per the menu kids can get cheese pizza, grapes, applesauce and a choice of milk, or juice. Read more

One of my favorite Counter Service locations in Walt Disney World Resort is the Boulangerie Patisserie located in World Showcase – France. Past the Bistro de Paris and the Chefs de France entrance is an absolutely awesome pastry shop with a variety of tarts, mousse, eclairs, quiche and croissants. There is also ham & cheese croissants, quiche and sandwiches available. As you pass through a stone entrance you’ll find one of the best counter services available with such a variety you’ll find yourself stopping by here often. Read more

Tucked away in a little corner of Liberty Square located inside the magical walls of Disney’s Magic Kingdom, is a quaint counter service location known for ambiance and seafood. Columbia Harbour House (CHH) is a wonderful counter service location, especially for those that are on the Disney Dining Plan. You will find an array of meal options from chicken to seafood. On the whole most of the food is fried but not to fear it does not lose its flavorful taste. Read more
